Founder, CEO & Chief Storytelling Officer
Lesley Paterson
Lesley is an Oscar®-nominee and multiple BAFTA-winning screenwriter and producer for ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT (Netflix, 2022). A five-time World Champion professional triathlete turned filmmaker, Lesley has undergraduate and graduate degrees in Film, and has been acting, writing and producing for over 20 years alongside her athletic career.
Her Journey
Having battled against adversity to make it to the very pinnacle of sport, Lesley is applying the same grit and determination to create and produce hard-hitting and muscularly poetic stories for film and TV audiences.
Based in Los Angeles, California, but originally from Scotland, UK, Lesley co-founded Brave Art Entertainment in 2021 with her husband and co-writing partner, Simon Marshall. After Simon passed away from cancer in 2024, Lesley is once again reinventing herself and choosing to inspire others by finding joy and light amid tragedy.
